IEZoneAnalyzer version 3.5 adds a Zone Map Viewer that shows which web sites have been specifically assigned to security zones and whether the assignment is effective. STEP #1) From the Windows 8 home screen type:

cmd and press <Ctrl>+<Shift> (to run “cmd” elevated)

STEP #2) From the command prompt, run:

bcdedit /enum /vFrom the “Windows Boot Loader” section, write down the identifier GUID, {23fc82d2-….}NOTE: This GUID is an example, your GUID will be different.

STEP #3) Using your GUID from Step #2, create a Safe Mode start-up selection by running:

bcdedit /copy {23fc82d2-….} /d “Windows Developer Preview (Safe Mode)”NOTE: This GUID is an example, substitute your GUID from Step #2)

STEP #4) Also from the command prompt, run:

Facebook to launch Credits service in India.

NEW DELHI: Social networking site Facebook will next month introduce a payment system 'Facebook Credits' for Indian users who could spend the virtual currency across various games or applications they use on the popular website.

A virtual currency, Facebook Credits is already popular among gaming enthusiasts in many other countries, including the US.

"Facebook will introduce a new payment system Facebook Credits in India from July 1," a company spokesperson told PTI.

Facebook Credits enables fast and easy transactions across games on the social networking site and would benefit about 2.5 crore Facebook subscribers in the country.

The users would be able to enter their payment information once and can buy, earn and spend safely across various games or applications they use on Facebook.

"Starting July 1, we will require all social game developers on the Facebook canvas platform to process payments through Facebook Credits," Facebook Platform Marketing Manager Deb Liu wrote on the company's official blog in January.

This will also help various brands, which use the medium of Facebook to retail them goods through their social pages.

"Facebook Credits is currently used in more than 350 applications from 150 developers, representing more than 70 per cent of virtual goods transactions volume on Facebook," Liu had said.

Facebook Credits would also offer incentives such as early access to product features, premium promotion on Facebook, premium targeting for ads, and access to new co-promotion opportunities.

Many developers such as Zynga, Playfish, CrowdStar, Digital Chocolate, PopCap and Arkadium have already adopted Facebook Credits for in-game virtual goods.

Video Podcasts on GIMP. Gimp – a very powerful raster image editor. It is free, open source and runs on operating systems such as Linux (and other OS’s Unix), Windows and MacOS. He can do almost anything that can do both Adobe Photoshop and more than many other programs including Adobe Photoshop Elements. Over Gimp-ohm works a lot of people who donate their time and skills for this project. I am a bad coder, and will do more harm than good if I try to contribute in this way.
But I am a teacher by profession, and I can learn to use Gimp. At first I thought about writing a textbook, but John Arnold’s Photowalkthrough inspired me to try and do a screencast video. At the moment, is represented by 155 lessons, as new will try to keep a hand. Videolessons can be downloaded also from the author’s site, but there they are laid out in the form of a blog on one lesson for the release, so download the list will not have to pump out one file. Here you are invited to download immediately without zamorochek whole series of lessons. In addition to video in a separate folder and uploaded the image files that were used in the process of creating podcasts (files are not available for all lessons, as well as on the author’s website.) Initially, the distribution was also present folder with the preview images for each lesson (for the convenience of finding the right tutorial), but at the request of a moderator , they were excluded from the distribution, so that the questions about this, not me.

Navigating Webpages

Select Open from the Page menu or type Ctrl+O.
The Open Web Page dialog box will always show the URL of the current page.
Enter the Internet address (URL) of the Web page to which you wish to navigate.
Alternatively, you may type the path of or browse for a file on your local computer.
Click OK

Using and setting the home page – The default home page of the Platform Preview is the Internet Explorer Test Drive site, which you can use to see demos for and information about the new Internet Explorer platform. You can press F10 at any time to go to your home page.

To change your homepage, right click the Internet Explorer Platform Preview icon in the Start menu and choose Properties. In the Target field on the Shortcut tab add your home page URL to the end of the path. For example:

“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer Platform Preview\iepreview.exe” http://www.bing.com

For 64-bit systems you will see (x64) in your application path:

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer Platform Preview\iepreview.exe” http://www.bing.com

You can also do this for the shortcut on the desktop. For information on how to create additional shortcuts, see the Create Shortcuts to Common Pages section.

Developer and Debugging Tools – The Platform Preview includes built-in Developer Tools. These tools help developers debug and understand the interaction between their sites and the browser. To open the Developer Tools, click the Debug menu and click Developer Tools, or press F12.

The status bar indicates when the page generates script errors. You can use the Developer Tools to get more information about and debug script errors.

For more information on the Developer Tools, go to the Internet Explorer Developer Center.

Document modes - You can force the Platform Preview into different document modes. To do this, click the Debug menu and select one of the Document Modes. You can also press Alt plus the numbers 5, 7, 8, 9 or 0 to select IE5, IE7, IE8, IE9 and IE10 document modes respectively (for example, Alt + 7 for IE7). You can press Ctrl + Alt + 0 at any time to reset the document mode to the page default. The current document mode is shown for the currently viewed page at the left of the status bar. Information on Document Modes is available on MSDN, as well as on our blog.

Create Shortcuts to Common Pages – To simplify navigating quickly to pages you commonly use you can create shortcuts. To do so, copy the Internet Explorer Platform Preview icon on your desktop and paste it to your desired location. Right click the newly created shortcut and click the Properties menu item. Update the Target field on the Shortcut tab to start the Platform Preview with the URL of your choice, as follows:

“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer Platform Preview\iepreview.exe” http://www.bing.com

The Platform Preview is a 32-bit application. As a result, it is installed in a different location on 64-bit systems. When updating the Target field for 64-bit systems, it should appear as:

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer Platform Preview\iepreview.exe” http://www.bing.com

You may also do this for the shortcut on the desktop.

Microsoft Research Lab’s Fuzzy Lookup Add-In for Excel performs fuzzy matching of textual data in Microsoft Excel.

It can be used to identify fuzzy duplicate rows within a single table or to fuzzy join similar rows between two different tables. The matching is robust to a wide variety of errors including spelling mistakes, abbreviations, synonyms and added/missing data.

Example: A Fuzzy Lookup might detect that the rows “Mr. Andrew Hill”, “Hill, Andrew R.” and “Andy Hill” all refer to the same underlying entity, returning a similarity score along with each match.

While the default configuration works well for a wide variety of textual data, such as product names or customer addresses, the matching may also be customized for specific domains or languages.
